How scoring and the timer work
The clock is run on our side, and your score is submitted when it stops. Here is exactly what happens during a round.
The clock
Every room has a fixed round length - 30 or 60 seconds. The countdown is started and tracked by our servers. Your browser is told when the round has begun and when it ends, which keeps timing consistent for everyone in the room, on any device.
Your score
Each game scores differently, but the principle is the same: points come from actions you complete inside the round. Clearing more, chaining more and making fewer wasted moves all raise your score. Nothing outside the round changes it.
Submitting the result
When the clock stops, your final score is submitted and recorded against the match. Scores that arrive after the round has closed are not counted, so play until the clock reaches zero.
Comparing scores
Once every player in the room has finished, scores are compared and the prize pool is settled. Ties are recorded as ties.
If a round is interrupted
If you lose connection mid-round, the round keeps running. Reconnect and you may be able to finish. If you cannot, the match is closed out and recorded on your account. Questions about a specific round can go to support@joyaccesshub.com.
